Temporary Suspension of Disconnects

Huntsville Utilities has no higher priority than the safety of our customers and employees. Due to the growing concern regarding the spread of COVID-19 and the efforts to reduce exposure to the virus, forcing many residents to stay home for indefinite periods of time, Huntsville Utilities is temporarily suspending service interruptions for non-payment until further notice.

Customers should be advised that utility bill payments can be made a number of ways that do not require face-to-face interactions. Options include payment via personal online banking/bill pay, and bank draft using HU’s My Account customer portal using either a personal computer or through Huntsville Utilities’ mobile app. Additionally, customers may make payments via telephone by dialing 256.535.1200 and speaking with a customer service representative. Customers that know they will endure a hardship associated with actions taken to curtail the spread of COVID-19 should contact Huntsville Utilities as soon as possible (256.535.1200) to discuss their accounts.
