Disinfecting and Sanitizing of Huntsville Utilities Buildings and Vehicles

As part of our COVID-19 response protocol, Huntsville Utilities is taking additional measures to sanitize and disinfect areas of our buildings where customers are often present as well as our vehicles that move throughout the service area. 

Our cleaning staff has implemented an electrostatic disinfection system in addition to our regular cleaning procedures.  This state-of-the-art technology is currently being used in hospitals and schools across the country.  It sanitizes and disinfects all hard surfaces (including kiosks, chairs, and desks) that customers might come in contact with in our building. 

This process is also being used on our fleet of vehicles.

Besides the electrostatic disinfection process (which is applied multiple times each week), our buildings and vehicles are treated with traditional commercial disinfectant on a regular basis. 

Of course, the safest method of protection is to follow the CDC’s guidelines for social distancing.  Customers can still do business with Huntsville Utilities without face-to-face interaction by using our website (www.hsvutil.org), our mobile app, or by phone (256-535-1200).  This includes bill payment, establishing or transferring service, and questions about your bill.
