Volunteer Positions

Guides meet the bus as each school arrives and accompany the assigned class(es) to each activity. Guides are the main point-of-contact for the teachers and students and may also assist the presenters in their activities.

Presenters and assistant presenters lead students in one of five activities: watershed in a box, wetland metaphors, filtration, well in a cup, or cave shrimp. Presenters are also responsible for activity setup and clean up, keeping track of classroom supplies, and reordering supplies from the Festival Coordinator if needed. Please see the Activities page for more information on the available activities.

Volunteers at the registration table check in other volunteers as they arrive, distribute instructions and t-shirts, and assist with any questions.

Runners assist everyone at the Festival. They may deliver supplies to classrooms or deliver messages to the registration table.
