Average Monthly Billing (AMB)

Huntsville Utilities’ Average Monthly Billing Program is an optional program designed to allow for more even distribution of utility payments by making averaged payments based on a 12 month history.  This results in a fluctuating AMB amount due each month (or rolling average) and eliminates considerable deferred balances being carried forward.  The AMB Program is not designed to save money nor is it designed for customers that need to make payment arrangements on monthly bills.  If you discontinue the program, or close your account, any deferred balance will be due in full.  Further AMB information.

 Delayed Net
(Primetime Seniority/Social Security Accounts)

For qualifying customers, this program provides a fixed due date of the fifth of each month.  Once approved, payment may be made on or before the fifth without incurring a late payment charge.  To qualify, the account must be current and billed in the same name as the customer applying for Delayed Net.  An application must be completed and legal identification provided as well as proof of Social Security/Disability or retirement benefits.  Failure to pay as agreed could result in removal from the deferred payment program.

Third Party Notification

At the request of the account holder, a third party can be designated and notified of possible interruption of electric service in an account becomes delinquent.  This additional notification allows a relative or concerned friend to be notified of any problems prior to interruption of utility service.
