National Safety Council Recognizes Huntsville Utilities for Fleet Safety

The National Safety Council recently awarded Huntsville Utilities four First Place awards in the Council's annual Fleet Safety Contest.

The National Safety Council's Fleet Contest Division Leader Award provides recognition to fleets with the lowest rate of preventable accidents per 1,000,000 miles driven within their division during a full calendar year (January 1 through December 31).

HU's Electric, Natural Gas, and Water departments along with the Customer Service Section all received First Place awards based on their fleet safety record during 2005.

Huntsville Utilities is a publicly owned, not for profit electric, natural gas and water utility serving Huntsville, Madison County and northern Marshall County, Alabama.
