TVA Announces Rate Decrease

The Tennessee Valley Authority today announced a decrease in their quarterly Fuel Cost Adjustment (FCA) which will mean a decrease in the rates HU customers will be paying for electricity.

HU will release information about the new rates as soon as TVA provides the data to the distributors.

“This is good news for our customers as we move into the winter months when electric use in our area is generally the highest,” stated utility spokesman Bill Yell.

The new rates will be reflected on the January electric bills.
