High Level Service FeesEffective September 26, 1986 Any service line that is tapped on a main served by one of the following reservoirs requires a $482 high-level fee per lot/unit in addition to the regular tapping fee. Big Cove Any service line that is tapped on a main served by one of the following reservoirs requires a $964 high-level fee per lot/unit in addition to the regular tapping fee. Inspiration Point Any 1" service line that is tapped onto an existing water main on Green Mountain requires a $2,589 tapping fee per lot/unit. Any 1" service that is tapped onto the water main on Bell Mountain Road requires a distribution fee of $1,172 per lot/unit. Impact FeesEffective May 11, 1988, (Revised March 17, 1992) Any service line that is required in an area outside water service area (as existed in 1988) requires a $700 Impact Fee (per lot or unit), in addition to regular tapping fees and/or frontage fees which may be required. This fee applies to any service line that is tapped on water mains in recently annexed lands, even if service is provided from County or other water authority systems or mains. Other impact fees and frontage fees may apply to specific areas as Huntsville Utilities extends or provides water service, whether by the installation of Huntsville Utilities mains or master meters selling Huntsville Utilities water to other systems. Frontage FeesFrontage Fees may be required for property located on any of the following roads due to previous main extensions or parts of the county system taken over by Huntsville Utilities. Note: In developed and platted subdivisions (since 1984), high level fees and impact fees are generally collected in advance from the Developer as a part of his aid-to-construction, and as a rule, separate frontage fees will only apply to individual lots being developed outside newly platted subdivisions or to lots in minor subdivisions where aid-to-construction may not be required from the Developer.
