Providing outstanding customer service continues to be the ultimate goal at Huntsville Utilities. For your convenience, you can now access your utility account through our automated phone system. All you need is your 12-digit Huntsville Utilities account number and your assigned pin number. Unless you have otherwise specified, the pin number is the last four digits of the primary account holder’s social security number. If needed, you may request a pin number by submitting a pin request or call Huntsville Utilities at 256-535-1200.
To make payments on your utility account through the automated phone system, you must enroll in the Bank Draft Program. Enrollment can be made online thru “My Utilities“. Complete the registration for online access to your account and add your bank information. Or complete the Bank Draft Authorization Form and return (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader) as instructed on the form. If your bank information changes, you may update your information online by logging into your account under “My Utilities”.
The audio instructions on making payment arrangements and accessing account information are easy to understand and follow. You no longer need to wait for an operator to conduct most transactions. The automated phone system is available 7 days a week, except on Sunday from approximately 6am-8am for maintenance. General information is available at any other time, however, payment agreements, and payments by bank draft are unavailable from approximately 7pm-10pm Monday-Friday.
